Race 2 of the fourth edition of the PAK'n'SAVE PNP Summer Fun Ride Series.  Here's what you need to know:

Time/Date | Race 2 is held on Sunday 21 February 2021.  Please be registered no later than 9.45am to enable racing to start from 10am. 

  • Long Course start is 10am, start-line briefing at 9.55am.

  • Short course start is 10.15am, start-line briefing 10.10am. 

​

Registration | Side courtyard, Village Cafe, 6 Kitchener Street, Martinborough.

Chris and Bruce of the Village Cafe have been very supportive of our event/series.  Please support them and respect the parking restrictions (see below).

​

Courses | There are two courses to choose from.  For Race 2/Millars Road the short course is 60km and the long course is 90km.  Course descriptions and Strava maps are below.  

​

Team Entry | A 'free' team competition is available with points awarded across all age ranges, gender and courses. 

​

Parking | Please park on the side roads away from the shops.  This keeps the carparks close to key businesses free for drop-in clients.   If you are unsure where to park, please refer to the parking map. 

​

Entry | Online entry (inc fee confirmation) is now open.  Please register before Friday 19th February to avoid the late fee.  Early/online entry is $40.  Entry on the day is availble, but a late entry of $15 will be added and you need to bring cash please.

​

Course | Note the course maps belows are not 100% correct.  The ride will turn down York Street and finish at the domain to iss the busy vineyards.

Course Description

A scenic ride starting in the heart of Wairarapa wine country.

Rider will make their way to Hinakura Rd where the event will start. Stay on Hinakura Rd until turning left onto Longbush Rd at about 8km. Then stay on the undulating Longbush Rd until taking the left turn onto Millars Rd at approximately 22km. Climb over Millars and stay on Millars Rd until the junction with Ponatahi Rd where you will turn left onto Ponatahi Rd at about 28km.

Then it’s a fun ride down Ponatahi Rd until you turn left onto Puruatanga Rd at approximately 44km, and riding on to finish approximately 1km along Puruatanga Rd.

Long course do the circuit twice | 92km, 840m of elevation

Short course just once.  | 46km,  420m of elevation

​

Then make your way back to Village Café for refreshments and prizegiving.
