Get a speed fix at Wellington’s awesome season-long points based league, run on Sunday afternoons with a break over Christmas until end of March 2016. Riders accumulate points in graded racing that go to an overall league table.
A, B, C, D1 and D2 (under 13 and under 11) grades to suit all ages and abilities.
D2 Cat – 3 Lap Handicap Scratch (held start, bring a pusher!)
D1 Cat – 3 Lap Handicap Scratch (held start, bring a pusher!)
C Cat – 6 Lap Scratch
B Cat – 8 Lap Scratch
A Cat – 10 Lap Scratch
D2 Cat – 3 Lap Tempo Race. 2 points every lap for the first across the line, 1 point for second. Rider with most points at the end of the race wins! Note: it doesn’t matter what lap a rider finishes on – rider can be lapped multiple times without having any points deducted.
D1 Cat – 3 Lap Tempo Race.
C Cat – 4 Lap Tempo Race
B Cat – 5 Lap Tempo Race
A Cat – 6 Lap Tempo Race
D2 Cat – 1 Lap Sprinters’ Scratch
D1 Cat – 2 Lap Sprinters’ Scratch
C Cat – 2 Lap Sprinters’ Scratch
B Cat – 2 Lap Sprinters’ Scratch
A Cat – 2 Lap Sprinters’ Scratch
D1+D2 Cat – Emma’s Pursuit. Like a Team Sprint, but longer! Everyone on the winning team gets 5 Speed League points, runners up get 3 points.

C Cat – Emma’s Pursuit. Like a Team Sprint, but longer! Everyone on the winning team gets 5 Speed League points, runners up get 3 points.
A+B: 20 Lap Team Scratch – Team armbands drawn at random from Katherine. Number of teams will be determined by total number of riders, divided by four and rounded up. THE TWIST: A Cats don’t count, they must help their B Cat team mates to win!
