SCHOOLS – Round 2 TTT

This event is part of a series of events in the Wgtn Schools Road Cycling calendar. Points are awarded to schools throughout the series and perpetual Trophies are presented to the winner of that School each year.

Grades are: Year 7-8, U16 and U20.

This event is at the Catchpool Valley Rd carpark at the entrance to the forest park. The start line is approx 100m further down the Wainuiomata Coast Rd. The time trial starts at 1 or 2 minute invervals and goes to the end of the Wainuiomata Coast Rd by the coast, then returns to the finish line approx 200m south of the start line.

Distance = 16km.

While this Time Trial is primarily a Teams event of 4-5 riders (timed on the 3rd rider across the line), we accept all riders who can't find a team. We will run 2up time trials if possible or even individual time trials if you can't find anyone to ride with. Maximum points can be earned towards your school if you have a team of 3 or more riders.

Start time: First rider is away at 9am. Please be at the carpark up to an hour earlier for warm-up, registration, Marshall selection and race briefing. Race Briefing is approx 8.45am. 5 marshalls are required to help with this event so please help where possible.

Please enter your team by the Friday evening before the event. We will take late entries, but your start times may not be ideally placed with similar level riders. Please enter by sending an email with details below:

Entry cost: $5.00 per rider or $20 per team of up to 5 riders.

NOTES:

Toilets are located 2km up the far end of Catchpool Valley Rd.
