Survey: Here are the results in a few formats: pdf, word 2007 and word. Thanks to the respondents - great to get your feedback!  Mark and Peter went through your comments and have responded, read it all here in PDF or Word.

Subcommittee review: Subcommittee minutes are on the "Committee" tab. Check out the "heat map" while there, the subcommittee rates several aspects of the club with a traffic light system. The convenor and subcommittee did a lot of good work behind the scenes starting June 2011 (read the meeting minutes and you will get a feel for the amount of work we covered, those meetings were over 2 hours long). Remember all were brand new in our roles and had to learn the ropes. We are aware of and acknowledge that not all went well this past season, we have identified key areas plus the survey responses will help as well.  Thank you.

Next season, the Subcommittee needs help!  This can be in the shape of people helping hands-on at the track doing race management, time keeping, results recording, coaching, supporting the coaches, attracting sponsors, preparing for events such as the Laykold Cup, Centre champs or Nationals  or helping with a range of admin tasks at home on their computer.  Some roles need to attend meetings but others can be done at home.   Ruth Taka will not be continuing next season and the club thanks her for her help and involvement.   Lorisa has been great in her capacity as Commissaire and will continue as an advisor off the subcommittee.   Peter Moore and Nick Warren will be key drivers.   Mark Coburn is happy to handover the Convenor role if a suitable candidate comes forward.   We are light on numbers and need more help so please get in touch if you can lend a hand.

National Age-Group Champs

PNP riders represented Wellington at the Age Group National Championships. Also long time ex-Wellington resident, Gary Humpherson, rode in Wellington colours again and smashed the World Record for the 2km pursuit by 15 seconds!!! He also missed another record in the 500m TT by 0.002!  Check out profiles of our riders here. Juniors Ione Johnson, Connor Johnson, Zach Blakeley and Louis Higgison also participated. Highlights included Ione finishing 7th in the points and Louis 12th in the scratch race along truck load of personal best times.
Wellington team results are here.

Wellington's Velodrome

2011-12 Committee (this will change for 2012/13)

Mark Coburn (Chair / Convenor), Ruth Taka (helping Mark behind the scenes with key documents), Katherine Pepperell (Juniors), Lorisa Perebooms (Officials and link to BikeNZ standards) and Peter Moore (Communications, Sponsorship).

Other club members are already helping behind the scenes with vital work. We are looking for more people to support the club with project roles, this means you can help out without having to attend committee meetings. If you're interested in leading a project or have ideas for racing at the Velodrome please contact us.

PNP thanks the Wellington City Council for their support
