INFOThe PNP Cycling Club are once again preparing to run their popular Penny Farthing Cycles MTB Cross Country Series in the spring of 2009. Our 2008 survey has given us great feedback in looking ahead to 2009:
Course lengths will aim to be 1-2 hours long for all riders as best we can manage. Your best 4 results of the 5 round series will determine your final series placing. Points per race for placings: 1st 50, 40, 32, 26, 22, 20, 18, 16, 14, 12, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6 down to 5 for all starters. Recreation 1st, 2nd and 3rd from the prior year's series must move to another grade. College rider's points from the four classes (Under 15 Boys, Under 17 Men, Under 19 Men and Under 19 Women) are accumulated over the 5 round Series for their College if they are still at school. The highest scoring College over five rounds wins the "PNP College Shield" presented at the final, which is contestable every year. Winners from 2005 onwards have been Onslow College, Hutt International Boys School, Wellington College and Hutt International Boys School again in 2008. Entry fees are discounted for PNP Club members, Families of 4 or more, and for those who pay for the Series before or at the first round. Shane from Penny Farthing Cycles has offered a $1,000 retail PFC voucher to be drawn at the final from entries that paid for the whole Series before Round 1. Sign in between 8:30am and 9:30am with riders briefing at 9:45am. Separate class starts from 10:00am. Results available at prize giving at completion of each event, and available on this website. Series prize giving at final round. Trophies for 1st, 2nd, 3rd in most classes and perpetual cups for Pro-Elite Men and Senior Women. CONTACTSMarco Renall SOS - Support Our Sponsors |
