We are planning a full season of racing:
- a 5 race series in Kapiti
- the Balfour Pennington series
- Hope Giggons and the National team trials in Hamilton over Labour weekend
- The Rice Mountain Classic- Wellington Cup series
- Interclub series
- Club Nationals in April/May 2011 in Wanganui

The full calendar means that once again we need more race managers to step forward with the hope being that no one needs to manage more that one race for the year.
This year we will be continuing with our volunteer roster with a requirement that all club members assist with marshalling, which should make that part of the race management job a little easier.
Will you manage a race for the club this year ? We will give you plenty of support and will provide you with an updated race managers manual detailing the responsibilities of the role and also a detailed traffic management plan for each course.
Volunteering is a great part of being involved in any sports club - its vital to the health of the club, it gives you a chance to give something back to your club, and you get to see just what goes into keeping each race safe. Over the last couple of seasons we have had a volunteer roster so active road racing members have a chance to help for one or more races.
Up until 19 July you can select a race to volunteer for by emailing Malcolm with your name, contact details and the date of the race. After then, if you haven't selected one, one will be allocated.
If you cant make your date you need to find a replacement or swap, then let Malcolm and the Race Manager know. ..the forum might be one way to find someone - its not fair to leave it up to the Race Manager or someone else to fill your absence!
