Welcome to Port Nicholson Poneke Cycling Club

Information

The Club organises road events on Saturday mornings throughout the year apart from a winter recess from April to August. Races include handicap and graded road races, time trials and hill climbs. Some times there will be no race because of another event being on the same weekend. Race details are updated here on our website and on the email newsgroup.

The Club tries to encourage people into competitive cycling by have a variety of races with achievable distances and separate women's races where possible. If you are new to racing you are able to compete in two events before you are required to join the club. Otherwise you must be a member of the Club or of another Cycling New Zealand affiliated club to be able to compete. Club members are required to help officiate at two events per year.
